About Emirates Amateur Radio Society (EARS)
Emirates Amateur Radio Society (EARS) is the National association of Radio Amateurs in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). EARS is a not-for-profit organization, supported by the UAE Ministry of Community Development under the Ministerial Resolution No. (66). EARS works closely with Telecom Regulatory Authority, TRA for licensing and spectrum related matters and is headquartered at Sharjah Scout mission Building, the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Society is dedicated to increase awareness and understanding, development of the science and practice of amateur radio. EARS represents the interests of licensed radio amateurs in UAE, both nationally (through TRA) and internationally (through its membership of IARU)
The stated objectives of the Emirates Amateur Radio Society are: –

Provide & Support evidence-based research and strategic direction for issues related to Amateur Radio.

Promote Amateur Radio and its role in facilitating emerging communication technologies, along exchange of such information and ideas among its members and Relevant associations.

Educate and encourage the next generation of Radio Amateurs in United Arab Emirates.

Lobby the National regulator, TRAto protect and enhance the privileges of licensed Radio Amateurs.

Provide emergency and/or auxiliary communications service to public safety and public service organizations if required.
