Welcome to the new website of the Emirates Amateur Radio Society.
EARS Leadership continues by Remotely Technology to conduct our regular meetings to promote and provide the best services to the members and to the UAE society. We have had a very successful 2020 in terms of engagement with our national regulator, TRA.
EARS representatives met with TRA officials on several occasions and had very active participation in the consultation process TRA initiated on Amateur Radio regulations in UAE. EARS leadership also met with members and sought suggestions to improve our operating privileges.
EARS members were active on air with several special event calls, including UAE National Day, National days of our brotherly countries, Zayed Humanitarian Day and one in collaboration with Israeli Ham Radio operators to celebrate the Abraham Peace Accord – A60AAP
We continue to seek input from our members, monitor international developments in the field of amateur radio & wireless technologies and engage with TRA to enhance the services offered to Radio Amateurs in UAE.
Although it may be several quarters before “normal” resumes, I hope you all continue to explore the many facets of our wonderful hobby. On behalf of the EARS Board of Directors, I wish all members, their families a healthy, safe, prosperous Future filled with a lot of fun from our hobby.
